Lisa Smit – CEO/Managing Director
The birth of L.S. Enterprises was when Lisa, a visionary and entrepreneur embarked on the development of a top-tier, spa product range. Through many years of determination and innovation she experimented with formulations and ingredients until her efforts were rewarded when she launched her award-winning TheraVine™ range in 2004.
After completing her International Diploma in Cosmetology and Beauty Therapy, Lisa achieved various specialised health and skincare certifications, as well as full membership in the South African Institute of Health and Skin Care Therapists and associated membership in the Society of Cosmetic Chemists of South Africa. Lisa contributes over 20 years of passion within the health and spa industry, her unique ability and skill to create extra-ordinary, unique spa treatment protocols, and her in-depth product knowledge to develop unique product lines accordingly. Lisa is highly regarded in the industry and press for being an innovator and industry leader.
Shane Smit – CFO-Director: Financial/Production/Exports
Shane supported his wife, Lisa, during her years of creation and development. He joined her full-time in their company during mid 2006 as the rapid growth of the business demanded focus on financial and operational matters.
As a professional and graduate engineer from the University of Stellenbosch, Shane contributes over 17 years experience in financial-, production-, and operations management to the company.
Jodi Smit – Research and Development Coordinator
Jodi Smit, Lisa and Shane’s daughter, qualified in Somatology at the Isa Carstens Academy in Stellenbosch at the
end of 2014 where she was also awarded the prize for the best research project for work done on grape stem cells and its effect on pigmentation, a test that has never previously been documented.
She joined the company towards the end of 2014 as research and development coordinator and is being mentored by Lisa while also studying Cosmetic Chemistry through the Society of Cosmetic Chemists of South Africa.
